Weird Fighters Walkthrough
Weird Fighters is a fighting game in the vein of Street Fighter. This fighting game features excellent artwork, three modes of gameplay, and a diverse cast of characters.
The three gameplay modes available in Weird Fighters are Story Mode, Player vs. Player, and Tag Team. Story Mode follows the story of the character that you select. Progress is saved in this mode, so you can continue the story the next time that you load the game. Player vs. Player and Tag Team modes are available under the "Free Style" option on the main menu. Despite its name, Player vs. Player does not allow two human players to fight against each other; this fighting game is purely single-player.
Weird Fighters uses a keyboard control scheme. The left and right arrow key are used to move. The up arrow key blocks high attacks while the down arrow key blocks low attacks. The A, S, and D keys are used to perform attacks. If playing in Tag Team Mode, the W key is used to switch between characters. Like Mortal Kombat, you can finish your opponents with gruesome fatalities in this fighting game. A list of fatalities is provided in the in-game instructions.
Weird Fighters is a well-made game, but it is not without its flaws. Firstly, the game lacks special attacks. Die-hard fighting game fans may also be upset by the lack of combo attacks. Most attacks start slow and have a long cooldown, making it nearly impossible to chain attacks. Finally, the AI is extremely difficult to beat, even on the easy difficulty level.
Weird Fighters is a solid fighting game, but it is far from perfect. If you like fighting games with well-designed art and unique characters, then it may be worth a try, but if you are used to strategically landing combinations and fast-paced action, then Weird Fighters may not be for you.
