Straw Hat Samurai 2 Walkthrough
Straw Hat Samurai 2 is a fighting game and the sequel to Straw Hat Samurai. Straw Hat Samurai 2 continues the story of its predecessor and features new techniques, new enemies, and four challenging areas to complete.
The objective of Straw Hat Samurai 2 is to complete the stages by killing all enemies on each stage. If you are familiar with the first Straw Hat Samurai, then you may be able to pick up Straw Hat Samurai 2 with few problems. I still advise you to pay close attention to the tutorial to learn some of the new techniques that have been added to this fighting game. Aside from a greater variety of enemies and new techniques that you can use to defeat them, Straw Hat Samurai 2 is much more linear than its predecessor. Your progress is automatically saved, so you have the opportunity to continue from where you left off if your character dies or if you wish to take a break from the action.
Not all enemies in Straw Hat Samurai 2 can be defeated by wildly slashing at them. Slicing an enemy's head off results in instant death for that enemy, so try to aim for the heads of unarmored opponents. To launch an enemy into the air, click and drag upwards to slash them into the air. Enemies that are on the ground may be finished in this fighting game by slashing downward into them. Some enemies, particularly bosses, will require even more finesse. Try to figure out their pattern and attack when they are most vulnerable.
Another tool that may help you in this fighting game is "shunpo" mode. To use shunpo mode, press the spacebar; to deactivate it, press the spacebar again. In shunpo mode, the screen goes black and white and enemies will freeze. You can still attack in this mode, but your attacks will not take effect until the mode is deactivated. You will need to have some power in the blue bar beneath your health bar to use this mode, however. You may keep your blue bar charged by slashing enemies.
Straw Hat Samurai 2 is once again a solid fighting game hit. If you have beaten the first Straw Hat samurai and are craving for more Bushido action, then Straw Hat samurai 2 is where to find it!
