Mike Shadow: I Paid For It Walkthrough
Have you ever had the misfortune of paying for an item in a vending machine and having the item get stuck in the machine? Doesn't that just tick you off? If so, then Mike Shadow: I Paid For It is a fighting game where you can get your virtual vengeance. Mike Shadow: I Paid For It features simple controls, smooth animations, and numerous upgrades.
The objective of Mike Shadow: I Paid For It is to knock the vending machine around before your patience runs out or your stress maxes out. Each attack that you perform decreases your patience and increases your level of stress. When your patience has worn out or your stress level gets too high, your performance will be assessed and you will earn money which can be used to purchase upgrades. Your data is saved at the end of each round, so any money that you earn or upgrades that you purchase will be available the next time that you play this fighting game.
Mike Shadow: I Paid For It uses a mouse-only control scheme. Use the mouse to navigate menus and to purchase upgrades from the shop. In the game, click on buttons at the bottom of the screen to perform attacks. Attacks can be chained together as combos in this fighting game, but the same attacks cannot be used back-to-back since each attack has a cooldown time. It would have been nice had the developers added keyboard shortcuts for attacks, but the mouse-only control scheme works well enough.
Buying upgrades is essential to victory in Mike Shadow: I Paid For It. At first, you will not make enough money to buy any upgrades. After a few rounds, however, you should have enough money to purchase low-level upgrades. Upgrading the Money Chance level should be your first priority since it will increase your cash flow, which in turn allows you to buy other upgrades. Your second purchase should be to your Patience Level. Greater patience allows you to stay in the game longer, which allows you to inflict more damage on the machine and make more money in the process!
Mike Shadow: I Paid For It is more of a casual game than a true fighting game, but it is strangely addicting. If you are looking for a game in the vane of Street Fighter or a beat 'em up like Final Fight, then you will have to look elsewhere, but if you want a stress-relieving casual game, then Mike Shadow: I Paid For It is just the game for you!
