Dragon Ball Z Tournament Walkthrough
Dragon Ball Z Tournament is a Shockwave fighting game based on the world-famous anime and manga series, Dragon Ball Z. This fighting game features excellent graphics, mouse-only controls, characters from the show, and two-player mode.
The objective of Dragon Ball Z Tournament is to defeat opponents in one-on-one combat. You can play against the computer or against a human player in two-player mode. When playing against a human-controlled opponent, the player that wins will advance and fight against computer-controlled opponents until the end of the game. This fighting game is completed when seven opponents have been beaten, and all seven Namekian Dragon Balls have been obtained.
Dragon Ball Z Tournament is a turn-based fighting game. First, select the quadrant of the screen that you wish to move to in order to dodge your opponent's attack. You can choose the quadrant by clicking on the appropriate button or by pressing the corresponding key on your keyboard. Next, select a technique or attack to use in your turn. If the attack that you selected must be aimed at a specific quadrant, then you will have to select the quadrant that you wish to attack. When playing this fighting game in two-player mode, the player not making their decisions should probably turn their head in order to retain the level of challenge. After your choices have been made, the fighters will act accordingly.
Notice the two bars adjacent to the fighters' portraits at the top of the screen. The green bar is the health bar. When a fighter's health bar is depleted, he is defeated. The blue bar beneath the health bar is the ki bar. All attacks and techniques (besides powering up) take ki. Powering up raises your ki level, but leaves fighters vulnerable to attack. When the ki bar is full, fighters can unleash their devastating special attack (or in the case of Piccolo, heal).
Dragon Ball Z Tournament is a fun turn-based game that fans of the series will enjoy. I would have preferred a game based on the Cell Saga rather than the Frieza Saga portrayed in this fighting game, but I still had a blast. Phew, got through this description without making a "over 9000" reference.
