Courier Combat Walkthrough
Courier Combat is a fighting game based on the computer-animated series, "Get Ed". This fighting game features characters from the TV show, simple controls, and six challenging rounds.
The objective of Courier Combat is to defeat enemies in order to advance to the next round. This can be accomplished by knocking out your enemy or by having more health left at the end of the round. There is no saving system in this fighting game, so you will not be able to continue your progress should you quit. The game can be completed in about ten minutes, however, so the lack of saving ability should not pose a problem for most players.
Unlike most fighting games that give players a full range of movement, Courier Combat uses a combat system similar to that of a role-playing game, except that it is in real-time. The up and down arrow keys are used to jump and to duck respectively. These actions are great for dodging attacks. The left arrow key is used to block attacks. Blocked attacks still deal damage, but much less than attacks that go unblocked. The A and D keys are used to punch and to kick. Finally, if your power bar is full, you may use the spacebar to perform a special attack.
Timing is the key to success in Courier Combat. If you see your opponent attacking, get ready to dodge or to block. Blocking is easier than dodging since it does not require precise timing, but it comes at the expense of taking a small amount of damage. All attacks take power in this fighting game, so try not to attack wildly. Attack when you are sure to hit; attacking while your enemy recovers from their attacks is best. Finally, if you want to perform your special move (which is devastating and unblockable), you will have to wait until your power bar fills completely.
Courier Combat may not appeal to fans of traditional fighting games, but younger gamers may enjoy it. Its simplicity and brevity also make it ideal for casual gamers.
