Battle in Megaville Walkthrough
Battle in Megaville is a fighting game based on the popular animated series, "The Powerpuff Girls". This fighting game features sprite graphics, six selectable characters, and four modes of gameplay. Fans of classic games may recognize that the music used in the introduction of this fighting game came from Mega Man X.
The four gameplay modes in Battle in Megaville are Story, Versus, Survival, and Mini-Game. Story Mode pits you in one-on-one fights against the computer that advance the storyline based on the character that you chose. Versus Mode allows two players to duke it out on the same computer. Survival Mode is similar to Story Mode, with the exception that there is no story and your health bar is not regenerated after each fight. Finally, the Mini-Game deviates from the core modes of this fighting game and is just a way to pass time. It seems like the Mini-Game mode would have been used to keep players entertained while the game loaded, but the developers did not use it as a preloader for some reason.
Battle in Megaville uses keyboard controls. Player one uses the A and D keys to move left and right, the W key to jump, and the D key to activate their shields. The F and G keys are used to perform attacks B and A respectively. Player two uses the left and right arrow keys to move, the up arrow key to jump, the down arrow key to block, and the 1 and 2 keys on the numerical keypad to perform attacks B and A. When using this default control scheme, make sure to activate number lock in a two-player game (unless you don't want player two to be able to attack). The default keys can be changed before starting the game. In a one-player game, players can use either set of controls.
Battle in Megaville has gameplay that is similar to the Marvel vs. Capcom series (although you do not have multiple characters to tag in or assists). Air combos work very well in this fighting game, so if you manage to juggle your opponent into the air, you will be able to severely deplete their life. Attack B works best to lead into combos, while Attack A is great for ending combos with massive damage.
Battle in Megaville is a straightforward fighting game that traditionalists will enjoy.Whether you are a fan of The Powerpuff Girls, or just a fighting game aficionado, you will have a blast playing Battle in Megaville!
