Avatar Arena Walkthrough
Avatar Arena is a fighting game based on the popular Nickelodeon cartoon, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Avatar Arena features crisp graphics, fluid animations, and the ability to customize your character.
The objective of Avatar Arena is to defeat each of the twenty contenders in the tournament and become the most powerful elemental master. You may play a training round where your objective is to break a statue, or go right to the tournament. If this is your first time playing this fighting game, I advise you to practice the controls in training mode first.
If you are familiar with Avatar: The Last Airbender, you will know that there are four basic elements to the cartoon's universe: earth, water, fire, and air. At the beginning of Avatar Arena, you must select which element you wish to use. I advise choosing fire because the fire-based attacks are the most powerful and the controls are the easiest to use (the fire nation's most powerful regular attack uses the same motion as Ryu's famous Hadouken from Street Fighter). After choosing which element you wish to use, you will be given the chance to customize your character's appearance. Customize your appearance to your liking, since appearance has no effect on the gameplay; only the element that you choose matters in this fighting game.
If you are a fan of fighting games such as Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, Avatar Arena may be a disappointment to you since its fighting consists of purely projectile attacks. Besides your basic projectile attacks, you may also use a powerful chi attack. This attack takes a long time to charge up and leaves you vulnerable to attack, however, so I advise spamming basic projectile rather than using the chi attack.
Avatar Arena is a fighting game that may appeal to fans of the Avatar: The Last Airbender cartoon series. Diehard fans of fighting games like Street Fighter or King of Fighters should probably avoid this one, however, since it is more of a projectile spam-fest than a true fighting game.
