Armor Heroes 2 is the sequel to the fighting game, Armor Heroes. Armor Heroes 2 retains the graphical style of its predecessor and includes new challenges to overcome, a plethora of new techniques, and the ability to ride powerful animals!

Like the first Armor Heroes, Armor Heroes 2 is a beat 'em up game with the objective of defeating all enemies on one screen before advancing. You begin with five lives in this fighting game. If you are killed, you will lose one life and be taken back one screen. When all lives are lost, the game will end.

Armor Heroes 2 uses a control scheme that differs from that of its forerunner. The list of controls given in the in-game instructions have some errors; the correct controls are included in this paragraph. The arrow keys are used to move your character. The S and D keys are used to perform quick and heavy attacks respectively. These keys may be tapped rapidly to perform combos. The A key is used to crouch and block. The Q key is used to perform special attacks when the purple bar is full. If you want to change the special attack that you use, you may do so by pressing the 1, 2, or 3 keys. The W key is used to switch between characters. If you come across an animal, you may mount it by pressing the E key. Finally, when surrounded, you may tap the spacebar to knock enemies away from you.

Learn the strengths and weaknesses of each, and switch when one character's abilities would work better in the given situation. Keep in mind, however, that all of the characters share the same health and special bars. Mounting on animals can be extremely helpful, so you should always do so when you can. Dismounting from an animal will cause the animal to disappear permanently, however, so you should only do this when a new mount becomes available. Finally, while you should still avoid being surrounded in this fighting game, you may have a chance of survival if you can knock enemies away from you. Rapidly tap the spacebar when surrounded to give yourself some breathing room and a fighting chance.
